What is Dermal Filler?
Dermal fillers are used to soften and contour lines, folds, and wrinkles. The most commonly used dermal fillers are Collagen based or Hyaluronic based. The solution is injected into the skin to add volume and create a more youthful appearance.
As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin
begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. But, with the variety of injectables you don't have to sit back and let it happen!

| Restylane and Perlane |

Restylane and Perlane is the brand name for non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic Acid is a polysaccride that is found in the connective tissue of our dermis. Hyaluronic acid in combination with Collagen Fibres and Elastin Fibres give the face form, shape and hydration. Restylane and Perlane are the most popular dermal fillers used to contour the face. The product comes in three formulations. The selection of which formulation to use is determined by your skin type and the area to be contoured. The result from the treatments is immediate and will last six to eight months. |
For patients with early signs of aging who do not want or need more aggressive facelift procedures soft tissue fillers can make a significant difference. They do so with little or no recovery time, less cost and less risk of complications than classical operative/surgical procedures. | BOTOX Cosmetic is a quick and minimally invasive procedure consisting of a few tiny injections. |
Frown lines that appear between the brows are caused by muscle movement and the passage of time. When these muscles contract, they draw then brows closer together. As the skin becomes less elastic over time, repeated frowning can result in moderate-to-severe lines between the nose.
Dr. DiGeronimo will determine exactly where to administer these injections to achieve the best result for you. No anesthesia is required, though the patient may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to injecting. The procedure takes approximately 10 minutes, and there is no downtime afterward. Discomfort is minimal and brief. Localized pain, infection, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, and/or bleeding/bruising may be associated with the injection.
